Doctor Harriet Van Hale has practiced Dermatology in Greenville, SC since 1992. She is co-medical director of Carolina Aesthetics and a dermatologist and dermatopathologist in partnership with Dr. Westmoreland at Carolina Dermatology. She attended Greenville High School, the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Her internship and first residency in pathology were at LA County Hospital/Southern California Medical Center. She then went on to do a research fellowship and residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in the specialty of dermatology. Professional memberships include the American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology, the International Academy of Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, Greenville County Medical Society, and Piedmont Dermatologic Society. For many years, Dr. Van Hale has mentored new physicians as part of the resident training program for the Greenville Hospital System. She participates annually in the Greenville Free Skin Cancer Screening and is a volunteer physician for the Greenville and Taylors Free Medical Clinics and is a volunteer for the Greenville Soup Kitchen. Dr. Van Hale serves on the board of NAMI Greenville.
