Dr. Vivek Dogra is a Board-certified sleep physician who completed his internal medicine residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn. He followed it with a two-year research fellowship in cardiology at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU.)
He worked first as a hospitalist with the Providence Health System and then as a primary care physician with Kaiser Permanente. He continued with a critical care fellowship and a sleep fellowship at OHSU. After five years as medical director at Arete/Advanced Sleep Health, Dr. Dogra decided to open his own practice.

Sleep medicine specialists diagnose and treat various disorders and diseases relating to sleep. This can include a range of conditions including insomnia, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, nightmares and others. Dr. Dogra utilizes a variety of diagnostic tools including screening devices, overnight sleep studies or oximeters, among many others. Treatments can include CPAP therapy, implantation of sleep devices, counseling, lifestyle modifications, and others aimed at eliminating or alleviating the symptoms of sleep conditions.
The specialty of internal medicine is an area of primary care for adults. Dr. Dogra specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. He may also refer patients to specialist physicians when medically needed. For instance, patients with serious heart problems could be referred to a cardiologist for further diagnostic tests or therapies.
