Dr. Chowdhary, who specializes in brain surgery, spine surgery, and vascular/endovascular neurosurgery, joined Arizona Neurosurgery and Spine Specialists in December of 2022. He is a midwest native and attended the University of Wisconsin for his undergraduate work. He went on to The Ohio State University for medical school and performed his internship and residency at The University of Washington. He did an international fellowship at Atkinson-Morley Hospital in London. He then completed a two year fellowship at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles before returning to the Northwest.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Chowdhary took a position at Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA where he was instrumental in developing the Overlake Neuroscience Institute and was the Neuroscience Director until his departure in 2021. He is a member of American Association of Neurological Surgery (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgery (CNS), CNS section on tumors and vascular, the Society of Neurointervnetional Surgery (SNIS) and the North American Spine Society (NASS). He is past President of the Washington State Association of Neurological Surgery.
He is excited to join ANSS and provide advanced neurosurgery, neurovascular and minimally invasive spine care for residents of the Southwest. He will see patients ouf of offices in Peoria, Phoenix, and Mesa. He operates out of Banner Thunderbird, Banner University, Banner Desert and the Core Instute Speciality Hospital.
