The specialty of internal medicine is an area of primary care for adults. Dr. Chung specializes in diagnosing and treating cross-system illnesses that may affect multiple organ systems. She may also refer patients to specialist physicians when medically needed. For instance, patients with serious heart problems could be referred to a cardiologist for further diagnostic tests or therapies.
Dr. Chung is trained to provide comprehensive medical care for elderly and aging patients. As patients age, they may experience an increased susceptibility to illness and injury. In some cases, illnesses or injuries in seniors may overlap to create complicated diagnostic and treatment processes. Dr. Chung is trained to diagnose, treat and manage these and any related medical situations in seniors.
