Bio
Dr. Kunzer earned his BS in Biology from Indiana University Bloomington in 2003. While at IU Dr. Kunzer served as a research assistant in the lab of Kenneth P. Nephew, PhD Professor of Cellular & Integrative Physiology, Medical Sciences Program, IU School of Medicine. Researching the “Epigenetic Vulnerabilities of Ovarian Cancer Stem Cells”.
Dr. Kunzer attended Saba University School of Medicine, Netherlands Antilles and received his MD in 2008. He was appointed Chief Resident of Psychiatry and completed his Psychiatry Residency at Michigan State University/KCMS in 2012.
Dr. Kunzer currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine. His professional interests include clinical teaching of medical learners, psychosomatic medicine, consultation-liaison psychiatry and adult mental health in the outpatient setting.
Dr. Kunzer is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
